WHAT IS A FARM SHARE? A farm share is a weekly box of fresh, local veggies (and sometimes meat/fish/eggs) delivered by farms to convenient pickup spots within our community. Shareholders purchase shares before the season begins — which helps farmers when they need cash the most, to start their crops. A typical summer share lasts 20 weeks from June through October, and costs $30 per week for 12-15 pounds of produce ($2-2.50 per pound). Spring and winter options are also available.
GETTING HERE: We strongly encourage attendees to bike, or to take the T from Central Square via the 91 bus, from Harvard Square via the 86 bus, from Davis/Porter Square via the 87 bus, from Lechmere Station via the 87 bus, or from Sullivan Station via the CT2, 86, or 91 buses. If you choose to drive, there will be relaxed residential permit restrictions on the streets surrounding the school (if you do end up receiving a parking ticket, contact us, and we can forward the matter to the city) — unless there is a Snow Emergency declared, in which case we will post parking restrictions here. There are also metered parking spaces in Union Square.
